Roger L. Simmons

Mr. Roger Lee Simmons, 57, of Harrisonburg, Va., died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at the UVA Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.

He was born Dec. 29, 1950, at Franklin, W.Va., and was the son of the late Robert L. Simmons and Tressie Varner Simmons.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and had worked at Rockingham Concrete.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Patsy) Smith of Franklin, W.Va., Carolyn Simmons of Fairmont, W.Va., Linda Higgins of Delray Beach, Fla., and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ona Dale Simmons, and Jeffery Simmons.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va. with the Rev. Shyrl Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Thorn Creek Memorial Gardens at Moyers, W.Va.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at the Kimble Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va.
